Welcome to St Pixels, the online church where you can meet others, talk about serious and not-so-serious stuff, discuss what you do and don't believe, go to regular services, and join a pioneering worldwide community.

Advent 2008

It's Advent Sunday!

During the next few weeks we will be offering a series of reflections and meditations on an Advent theme.

In the first reflection Jools says... "So what is Advent – and how could it be a helpful time for us?
Amongst other things we honour the waiting of God's people for the Messiah. We remember the longing of the prophets and others for the beginning of God's kingdom on earth. We celebrate the possibility of the fulfilment of that dream held by humanity for hundreds of years - believing that in some way Christ will "come again" into a world that needs him so very much."

Do pop in an take a look during Advent and offer up any of your own thoughts!

From here to there

ChurchesThe results of the St Pixels 2008 user survey are finally out. 113 of you completed the questionnaire. We'll be looking at the results in Reflect.

Why not join us to see how St Pixels has developed, and to reflect on the way God may lead us to develop in the future? The quest begins here.

Researcher seeks virtual rats

avatarMindy8 says:

I am researching online religion for my university dissertation. (I am in my final year of a Sociology degree) I have been helping to analyse some of the 2008 User Survey data and now I am moving on to my own research project.

The aim of my research is to look at to what extent it might be possible for an online religious community such as St Pixels to replace attendance at offline churches.
You can find out more and find the link to complete the questionnaire on Mindy8's blog.

(And, yes, this does mean that the 2008 Survey results will be out before 2009.)

Looking at healing

What becomes of the...

We are looking at healing in two ways:

On the Discuss stream we're asking What is healing?

Whilst on the Worship stream How I've discovered healing is the topic.

So you can share your experience, enter the debate, or both. It's up to you.
